Wow these last 9 weeks have really highlighted just how we quickly we can lose something if we don’t use it. Deconditioning happens rapidly.
In just over 2 months I have lost a significant amount of muscle from my left calf and it got me thinking about what else becomes deconditioned when we don’t use it regularly.
Caught up in our busy lives we can all too easily forget to find time to exercise more than just our bodies. We need to exercise our brains, challenge our reaction time, work on our coordination, take risks, develop greater open-mindedness and practice compassion daily.
Take a moment to stop and think about when you last did any of the following:
· Took a risk, faced your fear and did it anyway.
· Learnt something new like a language, a musical instrument, a game, a sport or an activity.
· Performed a random act of kindness.
· Did volunteer work.
· Give something away to someone in need.
It’s important to remind ourselves just how valuable it is to exercise, not only our bodies,
but our minds, our sense of compassion and our ability to take risks.
Set yourself a challenge to try and or learn something new, do a good deed, move your body and take a risk on a daily basis.

They’re still some gorgeous legs you got there girlfriend!! Xx
